How It Works

Start by creating a free Clarifonic account. Once you're in, upload your mastered audio files — whether that's a single, an EP, or a full album. Add your cover artwork, write your track metadata (titles, songwriter credits, genre), and configure your release exactly the way you want it. We have limited resources to help with mastering and graphic production, but this is primarily your time to shine as an artist. Bring your best recordings and artwork and we'll handle everything from there.

Once your music and artwork are uploaded, our team will carefully review everything. We check the audio quality, that the metadata is complete, and that the release is a good fit for our catalogue. There are no fees at this stage — or at any stage. We never charge upfront. Instead, we work on a cost-per-sold-unit model, meaning we only earn when you earn from streams and sales.

If your release is approved, we put together a detailed agreement covering distribution channels, revenue splits, and timelines. We'll send it for your review and are happy to walk you through every detail. Nothing moves forward until you're fully comfortable.

With the agreement signed, we get to work. We encode your audio to every required format, register your ISRC codes, prepare metadata for all platforms, and set up your release across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, and 150+ other streaming services and digital stores. For physical formats like CD, vinyl, or cassette, we handle the production files and fulfilment setup.

We agree on a release date together and work towards it. Before anything goes live, you'll hear final masters and see the release as it will appear on stores. On launch day, your music hits streaming platforms and stores worldwide. Singles, EPs, albums — whatever the format, the world gets to hear it.

Once your music is out, you start earning. Revenue from streams, downloads, and physical sales is reported and paid out to you monthly. Note that there can be a reporting lag of up to six months — some streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music are slow to finalise their royalty reports. We keep everything transparent and you can always see your earnings in your account.
